The Esparto-Capay Valley has struggled with inadequate and inconsistent healthcare services. Local community meetings for over 25 years have identified a health clinic as a vital need.
The dream of a health center is finally coming true. This new 28,000 square foot building will be a hub for health and services.
Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, in partnership with RISE, Inc., Winters Healthcare Foundation and Brown Construction have joined forces to bring this long-anticipated resource to the Capay Valley.
We need your help!
Historically, this region has struggled with inadequate health care. Even very basic care was marginalized, available only part-time, and severely limited in scope; dental, pharmaceutical and chronic health management services historically have been inconsistent, sparse to non-existent.
The new Capay Valley Health and Community Center (CVHCC) will host multiple services in one location for people living in Esparto and throughout the Capay Valley. The new 28,000 sq. ft. building will be a hub for health and social services and will allow the people on the western side of Yolo County to access services in their community.
